Interview with Oualid Mokhtari
(TheAtlasLions.com/12-11-2004) The Moroccan midfielder Oualid Mokhtari, brother of Moroccan international Youssef, has granted our site an exclusive interview.
Oualid plays for German third division side SV Wehen.
1. Who is Oualid Mokhtari ?
- I am Oualid Mokhtari, I was born in 29 April 1982 and I live in Raunheim.
2. What are your hobbies?
- Surf the net, to read and family.
3. Are you satisfied at SV Wehen ?
- I feel good at Wehen. Unfortunately we missed promotion to Bundesliga 2 last season.
4. How do you cope with Ramadan?
- It's not easy at all especially with two training sessions a day. But I am already adapted to it.
5. Do you have offers for next season?
- At the beginning there were some offers, now I am only focusing on my spell at SV Wehen.
6. How do you find the achievment of the Atlas Lions during CAN 2004 ?
- It was magnificent. For the simple reason that it was Morocco's best achievement in years.
7. You have one cap with the young Atlas Lions, could you tell us about it?
- Yes, I still remember. My first international match was against Tunisia, the match took place in Egypt and ended with 1-1.
8. Do you believe you got a chance to represent Morocco at high level in the near future?
- Yes, and I will work hard to make it happen. in Soccer all is possible.
9. Who are the best players you played with and against?
- Best player I played with is my brother Youssef with whom I played at Jahn Regensburg. As for the adversary it was without a doubt A. Hleb from Stuttgart.
10. What are your strenght points and where lays your weakness?
- My strenght points: Vivacity in the game, quickness, technique, power with air balls. My weakness is my left leg and goals scored.
11. Do you have contact with other Moroccan players in Germany?
- Yes, with Mimoun Azaouagh and Abdelaziz Ahanfouf.
12. Do you often visit Morocco? and how does it go?
- Yes, I have family there. For me Morocco is one of the most beautiful countries.
